Dr. Ines Mergel is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration and International Affairs at Syracuse University, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and Senior Research Associate at the Center for Technology and Information Policy. She is a social media researcher and her work focuses on adoption tactics and implementation strategies of Web 2.0 technologies in the public sector. Her work has been published in the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, American Review of Public Administration, and the International Public Management Journal. She is the author of two social media books published by Jossey-Bass/Wiley. At the Maxwell School she is teaching the following course in the Master of Public Administration program: Government 2.0, New Media Management, Public Organizations & Management, and Social Network Analysis.
