Birgit Rabl

Birgit Rabl holds a PhD and Masters degree in communication and history of fine arts (University of Vienna). She was a Guggenheim Fellow (Venice), co-managed the EuroPrix MultimediaArt (the European Union multimedia award), and coordinated R&D for Austria's leading usability lab. She advised governmental institutions and the private sector on developing and implementing R&D framework projects in the field of information, society and technology. In her doctoral work she focused on improving dissemination processes of public funded research in Europe, with an emphasis on the aspect of information quality within the diffusion of information and knowledge transfer of R&D results. At PNG she conceptualized, developed and maintains the online-platform for the NSF project 'DNA and the Criminal Justice System'.
Now Oxford-based she works for the Ashmolean Museum and pursues research in fineart history.
