Dan is a research assistant with the Human Dynamics group at the MIT Media Lab. His work currently revolves around understanding how patterns of socio-cultural diversity affect human behavior, including social interaction patterns, peer learning, and daily human mobility. His long-term research goals include designing socially intelligent agents to improve and augment human communication.
He is an active contributor to and founder of the Rhythm Initiative to create open-source tools to measure and affect human social interaction.
